SO VERY SORRY THAT YOU HAD TO GO THROUGH THAT AT SUCH A REPUTABLE HOSPITAL!!!!! BUT THERE'S ASSHOLES EVERYWHERE APPARENTLY!!!!
The old MS specialist had all kinds of nightmare stories about him. The other Duke owned hospital (Durham Regional) in Durham, NC is not even handicapped accessible. I complained to no avail so I am making formal complaints. And someone I know with MS might be suing Durham Regional (Duke owned).
So, I go to Raleigh Neurology (Durham division). I love my doc there, but I know of Dr. Freedman in Raleigh and people like him. They also like Dr. Bowman in Raleigh (both of Raleigh Neurology, Raleigh, NC). The best neuro in the State is Goetzl in Durham, Raleigh Neurology. I love that neurologist. He is really great and cares about his patients.
The Duke doc that NCLizD might referring to has retired. I don't know about the new one but he is overbooked from what I hear. The thing is Duke is so bad about accessibility that the Neurology Department is so far away from the parking garage that it is ridiculous. And their parking garages are awful. You don't want to walk there in 100+ degree weather. I would not even consider Duke.
Stick with Raleigh Neurology, either in Durham or Raleigh. NEVER DUKE!!
