Hi guys,
I am back. I'm on new bipolar meds that are helping me a lot with my issues. Hopefully I can regain some old friends that I had made mad before.
So, here's the deal. I do have 5 lesions on my brain. My doc said they have to do with some capillaries that broke off from somewhere and travelled through my blood and ended up in my brain where they apparently dug in and made lesions. I have done so much research trying to find this weird condition. It did not help that my doc never even gave me a name. So after at least a 100 hours of research I have found nothing about this. Not even something close. I also did a lot of work putting together a binder with my symptoms and the possible valid reasons I could possibly have MS. he just took the binder, did not even look at it and gave it back to me the next visit.
Anyway, I have continued to have many symptoms of MS. I am not a hypochondriac anymore. I realize that I was one at one time. I understand that better as my aunt was dxed with bipolar two years ago and she is a major hypochondriac now. So Lisa Ca was right after all. I probably was a hypochondriac at that time. She knew cuz of her husbands bipolar. I do not go to the doc anymore for anything. My family actually gets mad at me cuz I won't go even when I really should. I have an appointment Friday with the dermatologist cuz I have these kinda large circles in my hair where the hair has broken off and I have severe itchiness and pain with lotsa red bumps all over my head. But....yeah!!! I just was reading in some fibro boards that lots of women have had this issue as well!! So that visit will be cancelled as well.
Ok....still a little long winded....I promise I will get better!!! I have had swollen hands and I have tingling and sharp pains all over my hands and my feet. I have massaged and put on Icy Hot. Nothing helped. No pain relievers either. I finally googled these symptoms and guess what??? MS was the first whole page!! I am now limping almost all the time. Always lotsa pains under my arms and the very tops of my inner thighs. All of this comes and goes, my husband really wants me to see a new doctor about all this. I refuse. I am so exhausted with my doctor ands his complete nonchalance over all of this. I feel like a total hypochondriac and a big stupid fool. I told my husband that I will never see a doctor again about MS until I am having to walk with a cane. So many people have said that it has taken 10, 15 and even 20 years for them to be dxed! It's almost sickening when you think that they we're probably really sick by that time.
Anyway, I am here for support and comfort. I promise not to be too intense. I have thicker skin and will not cause problems. Love you all and hope things are going better for all of you.

IM NEW TO THE GROUP AND IM STILL LEARNING ALOT ABOUT MS. I ALWAYS, NOT COME AND GO, BUT ALWAYS HAVE TINGLING AND BURNING IN MY LEGS AND FEET. ITS REALLY HARD TO WALK WHEN THE BOTTOM OF YOUR FEET ARE NUMB, TINGLING, BURNING AND FEELING LIKE THOUSANDS OF NEEDLES ARE STICKING YOU. SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN THRU ALOT WITH DRS LIKE I THINK MOST OF US HAVE WITH MS. IT TAKES FOREVER FOR THEM TO DX US. IM NOT GOING TO ANY DRS EITHER CAUSE I GOT TIRED OF THE RUN AROUND TOO. I TOTALLY GET WHERE YOUR COMING FROM.
HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY AND EVEN THO IM NEW....WELCOME BACK.
Your answer is truly appreciated. I honestly thought no one would answer me!!

My Mum passed when I was 14 & I was sexually abused.
So how could I not.
But it labeled me. No doc would listen to me. So I know what you are going through.
I had my first symptoms of ms when I was 14 I was not dxed until 40.
I even went to the ER told them I was numb from the waist down.
They stuck me with needles & I mean stuck.
They told me they would do a MRI & sent me home.
When I got there my Hubby told me to look at the bottoms of my toes. I did and they were full of needle holes. About ten at the base of each toe between them and even through my big toe nail.
They did not believe me.
They did not dx me until 2 weeks later & I was paralyzed from the waist down.
I understand getting up set when the doc's don't listen or seem to care. I also understand trying to find out why you feel so bad.
No one can understand it unless they went through it.
I had a neighbor who stumbled "once" went to the ER & they did a MRI that day told her she most likely had MS & sent her to the MS specialist.
you guested it no history with mental illness
so I do understand where you are coming from.
I am also sorry to say that you most likely will not be dxed until you are very sick with MS.
I also told the doc's to go to h.// I did not go to them but I needed Rx's so I sent my hubby so they had a "body" to fill the chair.
I went to Doctor's appt. this am. We had snow here and traffic was terrible? I got there late and they refused to see me. They said I had to reschedule. It only took a month and a half to get the appt. I rescheduled and changed Doctors.
All I needed was a new prescription!
It makes you want to scream!
