started on rebif in October of last year and now my hair is falling out. anybody have that problem? stopped at the store and got biotin 1000mcg and folic acid. what do you guys subject or have you heard of anything? Thanks peeps!!!

i started rebif in august, and have had the same problem! it might be thyroid, because rebif can have an effect on thyroid hormones, i have hashimoto's thyroiditis (lol weird name i know) so i was told to watch for signs of worsening thyroid problems, it could just be your body's immune response though maybe, i hope the vitamins help!! =)

I have never taken a dmd but a friend of a friend who used to take Rebif stopped because of hair loss (and elevated liver enzymes). She now uses, and does well on, Copaxone.

I take Avonex, and it always caused my hair to get thin and fall out when I brush it. I generally only brush it all out once a week now and so I still have my very very thin 47 inches or so of hair twisted all up in a bun most of the time.

I'm very sorry to hear about loosing your hair.

It'd be soooo nice to have the hair on our legs and armpits fall out instead!!

I have been on Rebif for 9 yrs. and never heard of that side effect. I have heard of that problem when on Copaxone but never Rebif or interferon. I don't have that problem. When I saw the heading, I thought for sure it would be about copaxone. Wow, I am surprised. Thanks for the caution warning. This is a surprise. I learn something every day here.
