Saw the Neuro today and my mri came back completely clean. No lesions or scarring PTL!!! Neuro says if nothing new pops up in the year I'm officially in remission so for now he's calling it clinically isolated syndrome.
Now the bad news. Whatever it's is, and right now he's calling it small fiber neuropathy of indeterminate origin, is still active. I've been tested up and down and sideways, and whatever it is is still flaring up. I have to go for another emg on my right leg. Once he determines if the existing nerve damage has gotten worse, or if I have muscle damage, he's sending me to a physical therapist to get fitted for a foot brace for foot drop.
Maybe I have lesions that are too small for.the mri to find. Maybe they haven't run the right test to find out what's wrong with me. Unfortunately he can't even tell me how it will even progress because he can't tell me what it is.
While I'm not happy with what's wrong, I know it could be.worse. at least my doc is listening and trying to help, not like some in the past, and he's helping with my quality of life.he's still trying to find out what else is wrong and not write me off like a head case.
