I have been on Gilenya for 3+ years. I have not had any adverse reaction to the medication and I have not had any MS symptom recurrence. I would highly recommend it.

I have been on almost all of the MS therapies including Copaxone, Rebif, Avonex and Tysabri. Gilenya is by far the easiest for me to maintain.

Thanks I have a month to decide to switch or not.Been on Copaxone since 2011.

I started G in January of this year. No side effects at all. I was on Copaxone for 12 years, then I tried Rebif and then Tecifiedra, the last two gave me terrible side effects.

What kind of side effects for Copaxone?

Dents in my skin from doing daily shots for 12 years. I actually did very good with copaxone, just couldn't do the shots anymore.

I've been on Gilenya now since sept 13' and it's been great! I have been on betaseron, copaxone, tysabri, tecfidera, and gilenya.

It is by FAR the easiest med. I honestly don't feel like I'm on any treatment except my MS hasn't been attacking me.

I should say that i have no side effects from G now, but for the first month I slightly nauseated.. but not to the point it was disruptive.

After that no issues. I'm very happy with it!

Did anyone have a MRI while on this?

I have been on G for about 6 years now. I was in the clinical trial for this medicine. The only other crab medicine I tried was Avonex which was very intolerable for me. I gave it 3 months for the awful flu like effects and super high fever to stop, they never did and I had a relapse when taking it.

Initially when I started G, my blood pressure went up slightly, heart rate slowed a bit, my blood work was crazy for about 3-6 months, but I am back where I need to be other than the blood count and that is only because this is an immunosuppressive drug. I did have a few UTI's and bronchitis swings, but again it was within the first 6 months or so where my body was trying to get adapted to the medicine.

I whole heartedly recommend this drug. It is a pill you take once a day. I have had NO relapses on it and my MRIs have been stable. Everyone is different, but comparing all the other medicines on the market for MS I think this is the most tolerable. I have a friend on Tec. drug and she goes through flushing problems if she forgets to take the pill. G has nothing like that. I missed 2 days when I had surgery and when I started taking it again, there were no adverse issues.

Adding one more thing....medicines are expensive - they all are for MS. The drug company has a way to help alleviate the cost of it. I have such switched to my state run medicine help though, but I would suggest looking into it.

Yes- my latest MRI (done in May) said no significant progression and no active lesions. (YAY) I've been on G since Sept 13

When u start it they watch over you for hrs because it lower your heart rate. And more test later while on it correct?
