When you have symptoms how long do they last? For instance the one time i had severe tremors in hands and head for 2 months (worse some times than others, but always there to some degree), yet another time my right leg quit working (wasn't numb, didn't hurt, but buckled when i tried to put weight on it like it was made of jello) but that came on very suddenly after sitting out in sun for hours at in-laws and was completely normal when I woke up the next morning????

My doctor is very quick to dimiss things that only happen once or are of short duration, so I was just wondering if MS can act this way, or if you ahve a partial paralysis with MS if it stays for days or weeks at a time.

I started just like you with my left leg buckling once in awhile and numbing but only sometimes. Well long story short, i am 35 and using a walker and the numbness is all the way to my hoo haaa and constant. I did the steroids and Im working on starting Copaxone. Im basically learning to walk again and regain my balance. It would not be this bad if I would of had a smart doctor and not a freakin idot who told me that I didnt have MS and it was only a pinched nerve. Ugg thats a whole other long story..

I have symptoms come and go all the time. Usually It will be from doing a little to much work, being in the heat to long or just fatigue. Maybe tremors in my hands, rubbery feeling legs, loss of balence, worse head aches. Sometimes the symptom is there for an hour or so and some times it is there for days. Right now I have had the numbness in my legs for about 3 months and don't know if it will ever leave.

i have very weird symptoms that come for a couple of days and then go away and every ones like its the ms but every doc blames ms i swear if i was pregnant they would say its the ms!!! but any whoo. i have hearing loss...then it comes back my fingers go numb for days then r normal...my legs tingle.....then goes away...the latest is i feel like creepy like spiders are crawling on me and they say that ms!!! and im having nightmares thats not ms but thats what the doc says. thats a new one!!! im on rebif she says its the med i dont know?

All of my symptoms are constant except speaking problems and concentration and intensity of pain--but always with pain, eye problems, left sided nonsense, etc etc... I figured everyone had constant horrible symptoms.... The idea that mine could leave at some point, even for a minute, would be heaven...

Some symptoms are constant, others come & go. Constant is left side weakness - to varying amounts & incontinence is constant.
Hearing loss to a mild amount but need hearing aids is constant but not sure if it ms.
Speech, swallowing, right side weakness come & go - tired or hot sets it off & sometimes for no reason at all. Trouble with vision comes & go, as does migraines (often not ms related as I get migraines anyway.
Fatigue is constant but the amount changes, cramping of left hand is often cramping & loses sensation, right hand is now joining in. Losing balance happens often so use a walker outside or anywhere other than home.

Every year I presented new symptoms to my PCP, he treated each one separately. Six years later, neuro finally put them all together.

That I just point out from your last thread-keep going to you PCP to get this stuff documented even if you don't get into a neuro....get it documented!
