have to vent. im starting with a fla're. my ears are ringing, my joints are hurting, tongue is tingly and my arms are jerking. I'm also having spasms in my toes. my hands are also hurting. I also feel like the Sandman has dumped a Mack truck full of sleep dust on me then backed the truck back over me and dumped another load. I detest weather changes!

I am sorry you are having so much trouble there. I am not sure where you are located to know what weather you have at the moment.
I am in Melbourne Australia, We are in the midst of a heat wave in a lot of parts of Australia with a lot of bushfires. We have had temperatures of 40c/104f & above in a lot of areas. This temperature is playing havoc with ms. It varies in our area daily & that makes it even harder.
I am also struggling with this weather & have no energy but can't sleep because of the heat too.
If it continues more than 48 hours I would go I would suggest you go to your main Dr & contact your neurologist if you can.

MS sure does suck! I'm sorry you are starting a flare and will have to endure horrible symptoms for the next period of time. Try to stay cool, and like Sue mentioned, see a neuro if the symptoms continue longer than 48 hours. But, be careful, don't be too anxious for a steroid treatment which is probably what a neuro would order for your flare. I hope you can ride it out vs. taking steroids as they are so dangerous and do so much damage to the body. Maybe a referral to a Pain Management Specialsit to help you deal with your spasms and pain would be best? Seeing a PMS is one of the best things I did for treatment of my MS.

hi my neuro could not come up w any Dx, so I am seeing a new neuro in Feb.Also my GP has me set up with a rhemotologist this month . GP had asked me if my old neuro had ever told me I have Lupus and I told her he never mentioned to me-GP said my bloodwork from last JUNE showed positive ANA and a connective tissue disorder.I still have flares, but my neuro never concerned about it- in fact at last appt-when I said what about my spells- he said what spells.I wish there was a doc who would really LISTEN to me.Good luck to you!!!!
