So I've been really sick with a horrible cold since Friday. On/off fever, cough, stuff nose...the works. What really sucks the most is that I was just starting to feel like I might be coming out of this flare but now I feel like I'm getting worse again. The numbness in my left hand has gotten horrible again and both feet are numb. Not to the point that I can't walk or anything but worse than it had been for several days.

Can getting sick cause a flare to worsen?

Yes, getting sick can worsen or prolong your flare. Every flare is even different and reacts in different ways. Hang in there, flares can last for a day, a week, or several weeks.

The last flare I had was thanks to a wicked cold that wouldn't go away. Just relax, stay well rested and try to keep your energy level on a positive note. Hope you get better soon.

Thank you guys. I'm just a wee bit better today and at work. I'd rather stay home and rest another day but can't do it :( I think my little man is coming down with it too so I'll probably end up missing one or two days or work for him if he gets sick.

oh boy, load up on Vitamin C and water. Best things to do for summer colds.

have you tried them - medrol dose paks? it might really help?

it took me years to get that. every time someone got me sick, it would last longer than with them and then all of my symptoms would act as if given a massive dosage of crack.

people wonder why i'm a germaphobe, lol
