So I got sick in April and was diagnosed with MS pretty quickly and have been miserable since then, up until about a week ago. Finally, I'm feeling more like the old me. All of the numbness in my feet and elsewhere is gone. I have energy. I feel more focused.

Is everything perfect? No. I still have bad pain and numbness in my left index finger and thumb. I take Gabapentin which does help, but not nearly enough. I still get tired easily, just not as bad as before. I can actually go shopping for an hour and not feel like I'm going to collapse. I even mowed the lawn on Sunday (not a riding mower). That took a lot out of me, but I was able to do it!

I get the itchies sometimes. Drives me nuts. My words don't come out right sometimes. I'm forgetful. I have to be extra cautious at work, to make sure I'm not forgetting things and to read the letters I type to customers extra carefully because sometimes I mean to type one word and type something completely different!

My Rebif shots are going very well. I don't have any side effects anymore, as long as I take the Aleve. I also take 2 Acetyl L-Carnitine w/Alpha Lipoic Acid every morning. These are for the fatigue, and for me they work great...for now anyway.

So, I'm working full time and I'm spending my free time trying to get things done around the house that I've neglected for the past 5 months while I've been in a fatigue induced fog with numb feet and balance issues. I know it might not last long, or it might last for a very long time. One thing for sure....I will never take my health for granted again and will make the most of what I have to work with right now.
