Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group
This community is a place where members can discuss current events and weigh in on what's going on in the world.
Aint it wierd how having a health issue makes you feel kinda beneath even the lowest ranking person you know at work or in any social gathering,
Saying that thoe, I often look at the highest person and wonder just how good they would cope with my health issues.
That still dont often make me feel any better, all the patronising coments I get leave me thinking "how long have I been doing this", I do as much if not more than some fit guys at work but it seems the bosses never want to notice, and you might say why should they....
Ok,,, if you asked that I would say "often I se guys at work putting my knowledge in to practice and getting comended for it, but never is my name mentioned but this is different should I be the one to recieve advice".
Is this just me feeling this way or are people genuinely frightend of putting people like me above themselves.
I often go home and cry in my car all the way home because I have and often do feel so small, but then I think who that I know could do what I do with what I have.
MS sets me new challenges every day sme of which I know some I know would turn round and go home.
I should Like all of us that fight on, feel better than most who are better of than we are with the gift of a healthy human body.
I still believe that having MS slowed me down for a reason, I cant wait to meet that reason cos its what I'm fighting for.

Just my take, but it happens in every office - people steal ideas and present them as their own.
Used to drive me crazy (and I'm sure it still would if I were still working).
Try not to take it so personally - in fact it's a complement given in not so nice a way - they envy your knowledge. I was never a real self promoter either, but try not to let 'em get to you.
