I found it hard to exercise my legs when I could still walk.
My legs would go to sleep after 10 min's & I would fall.
I found Areo Pilates table was great.
You lay down on it or sit on it to exercise.
When doing your legs you are laying down so you can not fall.
As for the phone we got a portable phone system. It costs 30$-60$ (well here in Canada) We got the system with 3 phone so one was always charged. It is a one time cost. There was a clip on them. I carried one at all times, even in the bathroom. I kept one in the charger beside my bed & beside my chair in the living room. Even though I lived in an apartment building on the third floor I found that the range of the phone worked when I went into the laundry room on the main floor. If you live in a house it should work in the yard.
Hope this helps
I'm sorry you fell. Glad to hear there was no real damage. Maybe it is time to think about a walk aide like a cane or something to help stabilize you? I hope you contacted your neuro about this?
I just don't think people who don't have MS can not EVER understand what it feels like to have this horrible disease.

All of the suggestions others have given you are good. Even a personal alarm that sets something off in the house or similar, you need to find something that makes noise so whoever is home will hear you & come to help.
As for hubby's reaction, I would say that would more from fear than anything & feeling useless. I know my hubby gets mad at some things with me then later says "sorry" but its from a feeling of useless. If he is supportive in other ways I guess it is just an outpouring of his frustration too. Maybe at a quieter time you can let him know that you were hurt when he yelled at you & did he realise this (or similar).
Most important take care of yourself
i do not walk more because I CAN'T WALK. of course i would walk more if I COULD WALK.
does any one follow what i am saying? my legs are like carrying two cement boulders around 24/7, among other things.
naturally i would never wish ms on anyone, but in your head, walk in my shoes...
yes exercise is still important, anything you can do helps your muscles try to stay in check. and having a phone is important, just in case. many hugs, connie
Everyone was great with their words of support and encouragement! That's why I continue to come here!
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!
