Unbelievable. I have asked three or four doctors why my skin is splotchy and the veins are all visible. I've asked if it is MS related? Neuro. didn't think it was related. Another doctor had a series of blood tests done to see if anything showed up. Nothing. No doctor seemed to know. So I let it go and decided that I would just have blotchy skin.

In the online MS magazine, I just read a story in the 'Encounters' section about a woman's experience with MS. One of the things she wrote about was her reaction to her Scrondrel (solu-medrol) three day infusion. She wrote that one of the 'permanent' side effects she experienced was 'Livedio Reticulitus,' a skin condition not topical where the skin looks patchy and veins are visible. I googled the term and found a picture of this condition which looks nearly identical to my legs! So now I know. Interesting that the docs. couldn't figure it out, but I found the answer accidentally. The only problem with this condition is that it is noticeable to others. My sisters have said (during the summer when I'm in shorts), "What is wrong with your legs?" Now I can give them an answer.

Anyway, if you have something similar, this might be what you have. Anyone else heard of this? Fortunately, it's not painful, itchy, or anything like that--just kind of ugly. But, hey, ugly legs I can live with!
