I cannot read link from this old handheld but there has been association for yrs and I was exposed 47 yrs ago to Eptein virus and didnt get problems from MS til 15 yrs ago so I believe it was toxins that set me off.

Yes! But one neurologist I had told me that wasn't particularly significant, because according to him over 90% of people get exposed to Epstein Barr Virus (as evidenced by blood work) although they may or may not actually develop 'mono'. But 100% of MSers have been exposed to the virus.
As for me, I had a really serious case of mono at about 20. It was like having the flu for a month!
