I've noticed my ears hurt off and on, sometimes it's a full feeling like you get when you go to the mountains and need to pop your ears. Anybody else have this?

I don't have MS, but that happens to me around the change of the seasons. Did you take a decongestant?
sharpie
My ears do the same thing! I do have MS. Decongestant doesn't help. I'm seeing my doctor on Monday and I'm going to ask him about this.

My hearing left for a couple of days. Before it left, it was like everything was in a tunnel. After a couple of days, my hearing returned. I do not know why.

I get piercing ear pain in one ear every so often. Not sure what it is, but it doesn't last long or come too often.

I am dealing with hearing loss, and so far it's not confirmed that it's MS-related-- but that fullness you mention, yes.

I have the tunnel sound and the feeling that my ear needs to be popped too. Twice it has lasted several hours. I have Myasthenia Gravis too so I believe that may be causing it. My neurologist hasn't heard of it. There is a muscle called "tensor veli palatine, next to my eustacion tube, that could be weakening in my ear. I suspect this because Mestinon restores my hearing. Since I am recently diagnosed with MS also I wonder if it could be caused by these nerves: "Some nerves that control the muscles of the Eustachian tube are from the fifth cranial nerve, which has a long and special "control station" that extends down the spinal cord deep into the neck. Other nerves that control the muscles arise from large nerve bundles in the neck, called sympathetic ganglia. If these nerves are not communicating properly because of issues in the spinal cord, spinal column, muscles of the neck, or other reasons, the muscles of the Eustachian tube will not receive proper instructions on when to tighten and when to relax." Maybe this info will help some of us to help the doctors take a look for the reason causing our hearing loss. Aloha, Marina

My left ear becomes profoundly and thickly numb, even achy sometimes as I become stresses or am doing too much but I can still hear

@Linsayamaral- the sympathetic ganglia (bundle of nerves) that you speak of is what is on my mri. . I've been diagnosed since 2005 but only this year did I find out about this. I had to go to a research Hospital after a disagreement with some new nuerologistst that said I DID NOT have MS and their MS specific machines showed the bundle in bottom of my neck..
