That was one of my first symptoms. I used one for foot drop.

I have progressed in wc mainly so I do not.

I use a dynamic device which looks kinda similar, but you do need lace holes to attach it to your foot. So far so good; I've used it for a couple of years now. Dictus Band ankle strap. Foot drop was the early symptom for me too.

I'd ask your neuro what s/he recommends. Mine sent me to a physical therapist, who suggested an Ankle Foot Orthotic (AFO). That helps raise the toes so I don't trip. I tried three different ones to find which worked best for me. My neuro wrote an Rx and told me who to see. Medicare paid for it completely.

I have been dealing with 'mild' footdrop for over 10 years. No one has ever suggested any kind of AFO or such device. Thank you, GeminiAmy, for bringing this subject up..
I have now researched the 2 brands mentioned here - X-Strap and Dictus Band.

It runs from 50 to 100 (you can find it on Amazon, a pleasant woman in Nevada sells them). I think the original design may be Swedish.

Thanks for bringing this up. I have started having drop foot that is really effecting my balance & walking. I'm going to put that on my list of things to discuss with the neurologist.
