1 you dont look sick
2_ everybody gets tired
3_ you are only having a bad day
4_ it's got to be nice not having to work
5_ you should go out more
6_ you are just getting old
7_ you need to exercise more
8_oh, can't be that bad
9_ it's all in your head
10_ you are only depressed
11_ there are people worst off than you
12_ you need a positive attitude
13_ this too shall pass
14_ you need courage to fight this
Well I read this on spanish today, hope I made a good job translating.
You can make one and put it on the front door and hand one to each person at family gatherings. I love my neighbor, but she has told me every single one of them, she is seventy and feeds me, so I forgive her. Her last one was #11, so when she called me next day and asked, how are you,,, I replied,,,, HAPPY, TWO CUSTOMERS AT THE FUNERAL HOME TODAY, And none it's me!!!!,,, I think she got it this time.

.Don't say to someone with memory problems-"but i already told you that last week,last month( hell I do won't remember), tell me the night before that your relative is flying overseas for vacation)

This reminds me of the Aches And Pains book by Maeve Binchy that I posted about.She has a part in her book of what NOT to say to a hospital patient, what NOT to say to a person with a mental illness. etc
I've heard every one of these myself. Here is a new one you can add.
"You're just lazy."
This came from my first hubby (my boy's father) this past Sunday. He told them that there isn't anything wrong with me, 'I'm just lazy & money hungry' Both them are over 18 now (but still living at home), but I stay on his ass about paying the back child support he owes. So... I guess that makes me money hungry... and of course lazy. lol
