I've never been into heels (but then again I wear a size 11 wide, LOL) but I know that many MSers let them go when spasticity, balance, and coordination issues become problems. Wedges can help you transition because they are more stable than the typical "spikes." Also, finding heel heights that are the same as what you've been wearing might help, as your body is used to them. You can usually go lower than that, but not higher.

Yhanks for the help. It makes perfect sense, too. I was not yet out of my first attack, my heels were/are still very tight and my new shous were higher than my typical shoe i, they are wide toed and a thick strong, sensible heel, just higher than I am used to. I just learned what foot drop is and yep I got that too. Thanks for the advice. Mel
