Copaxone and Immune system

I was recently informed that my T2 cells were very low in number and was referred to see an immunologist (sp.). The doctor that referred me thinks that the T2 problem might be the result of taking Copaxone. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Never heard that, I am interested in reading the other posts and what you are told by the immunologist. Why did he test you T2 cells? How are T2 cells tested? How did he know your T2 cells were low?

Pleae let me know what you find out. This is really interesting....I was on Copaxone for 8 months and would like to know by your immunologist thought the low number of T2 cells were caused by Copaxone.

I'm with nnyl1, why did the dr test your T2 cells?

I haven't seen the immunologist yet. The PA works with a specialist in lung function/sinuses (can't remember what this type of doctor is called). I've had several sinus infections and the PA said that she wanted to do some extensive blood work to try to get at the root of the problem. They took 3-5 vials of blood (three sheets of paper filled with a variety of blood tests) and sent them to Mayo Clinic. The PA called when the results came in: Overall, my immune system is not too bad, but she was concerned because the T2 cells had a very low count. For whatever reason, the PA thought that maybe it was the Copaxone. She wanted me to see the immunologist, though, before I see the neurologist. I'll update when I find out more--won't be for a couple of weeks though. The PA thought that the doctor would be taking more blood to send off.
