Hi, I've used the necktie and it helps, something is better than nothing. I'm in the process of requesting a vest, because I'll need it. Temperature here can reach the hundreds and I don't want to be in the room all day. Also a wet towel around my neck , works.

I use the one with the cooling packs & I love it. It has 11 packs but it's not heavy. I know the others ones you wet & it can be humid where I live so it was out of the question. Good luck.

Hi! There have been some recent posts about cooling vests. Try doing a search on "cooling vests" and see what happens. Hopefully you will find lots of input from members about their experience with cooling vests and where to find them, best deals, best vests, etc.

I use the cooling vest that you soak & then put it in the fridge. I find it great. 1st one gave up on zip (could have been because I put on weight) so bought a new one. I put it in the rinse & spin in washing machine then store in the plastic bag in the fridge. If I forget to put it in the fridge or knew I wont need it till later in the day I put it in the freezer for a while before I leave home. That's if I am leaving in the morning & wont need it till afternoon.
I also use the neck ties & if need them later in the day carry them in a cooler bag.

My kids use the Frog Toggs (sp?) during the summer (I've used them as well) Most all athlethic stores carry them.. Hibbett Sports, Sports authority).. You just get them wet and they stay cool.. I put them in a zip block bag in our cooler for softball games.. They are nice if you're just gonna be sitting outside at your house, gardening or at a brief event..

I got a cooling vest from Amazon; wearing it now for the first time today when it was 85 degrees out and very humid and it is just awful!
Its one of those ones that you need to put into cold water, then squeeze out the rest and zip it on. It claim's to able to be used for construction workers when it's hot. So I just thought "well that would fit a size 20 like me..." It was just 28 bucks so I asked for it for my birthday. It's supposed to stay cool for hours but it is sooo heavy it totally messes up my already shot balance issues!

Be careful when you get whatever!

i just got a cooling vest too! i love it haha i got mine free from MSAA as well all i had to do was fill out some simple paperwork and it was here in like a week...im only 18 and i love summer so its nice for me to have it when i want to go spend some time outside during the heat of the day
