It's me again! My next question: Do any of you experience very cold feelings in the feet? My right foot, the only part of my body which still remains partially numb/tingly, becomes very, very cold when I experience outdoor cold. Since I live in ND, our temperatures can be quite extreme. Today, for example, it has been ten below zero most of the day (nights it has been twenty or more degrees below zero)and my right foot has been so cold all day. Nothing can bring warmth to it. Has anyone else had this, and if so, how do you deal with it? Does anything work to warm it up?

My hubby just loves it when I go to bed and put my feet on him because mine are freezing. It is usually the same with my hands. They usually warm up after a bit. If I am not really cold I am really hot especially when I am on steroids.

Both of my feet feel cold a lot of the time. Cold weather is always the enemy for me. Hot doesn't seem so bad. There are nights I lay on the bed nude, except for socks, and have to put my feet under all the blankets, but the rest of me is hot! Hubby thinks it is hilarious. We have a dachshund that likes to lay on my feet, so that helps. She's like my little hot water bottle dog.I've had to give up wearing dressy shoes to work,I wear pantsuits, so I can wear loafers with trouser socks to be a little warmer. Good Luck, Amy

Both of my feet, right know, are chilly; i'm wearing socks. For now, i might point to a reaction to Rebif or my wonky neurological system.

yes this too i feel, hands and feet it is very painful at times, it almost feels like frost bite right? when it is cold i just bundle up when i got out even though it doesnt always help, i dont shovel snow or scrap ice and snow anymore because i lose feeling for sometime , well all ifeel is that nasty tingling, it is good to know i am not the only one with these symptoms. try to stay warm hers a {{HUG }}} to keep you warm

Thanks for the responses! Yes, to Lorna, it does feel like frostbite! You must live in a colder climate as well.

My husband laughs at me, too, for what I wear to bed. He installed a ceiling fan as I get really hot (with one very cold foot sometimes). So we'll have the ceiling fan on, the heat on, and while he is snuggled under blankets, I may have a sheet or no covers. MS is so interesting!

Eloise, Yes My feet have been cold off & on for years. Mostly on.lol. Check with your local MS chapter,maybe they can suggest something. I put little sockies on a lot. All my Best. Indigo (cindi)

Had this symptom before I knew I had MS. Haven't had it since being diagnosed...weird? I used a hot water bottle, or would run my feet under warm water before I went to bed. Nothing else seemed to work. I didn't even think about it as something I should be concerned about, at the time. Now I know :)

I have that as well, both feet actually. I used a heating pad and either put my feet on it or wrap them in it on medium heat. Even in shoes, with socks, my feet are cold. I HATE cold feet, yet I hate heat too. Just no happy medium here.

I get really cold legs and hands. my feet do get freezing but usually by mid nite they are hot and I am kicking them out and covering my freezing legs and hands....I try to bundle up ....and a warm bath helps...I went thru a period where I was freezing all the time and the only thing that helped me was warm bathes and cuddling up in a quilt afterwards...

My right foot and hand both feel icy cold, most uncomfortable. At work I have a heater under my desk that I put my foot on or near. (not hot enough to burn but it feels good)I also wear big fuzzy socks.

Not only Cold but sometimes Hot burning feeling.... Extremes either way.

My feet are always cold (so says my husband) but I can't feel temperature on my left side. So I only feel like my right foot is cold, but my husband assures me that it's definitely both feet.

This is one of my biggest gripes about my symptoms...my feet are frigid from September to March. On cold (weather-wise) days, they are so cold it is painful. On mild days they are chilly at best. Nothing warms them up all the way. It's annoying. But comes in handy when I want to drive hubby nuts, I will put them on the small of his back in the middle of the night, ha ha!!!

TRY THE BATTERY WARM SOCKS,
MY FEET ARE ALWAYS COLD, SO I WEAR SLIPPERS ALL DAY AND SOMETIMES ALL NIGHT TOO, WITH THAT TEMP YOU NEED TO GO SOUTH A LITTLE, PUT YOUR FEET IN SOME WARM SAND.
HOPE THE SOCKS HELP YOU. I KNOW SOME HUNTERS WEAR THEM AROUND HERE.
