So my youger sister-(who doesn't have MS) called me up to recommend something for me to try to help relax legs and body and to detox the lymph nodes and oxygenate the blood improving circulation. She naturally thought of me, as you do not need to be an athlete or even too mobile to get results. Its called a Chi Machine or a Chi Swing massager. Anybody heard of this or currently use one? Its a passive aerobic exerciser
that helps anyone who suffers from a lack of exercise, poor circulation, nervousness, constipation, insomnia or tired and sore muscles. Ive watched a few YouTube clips on it, and read some reviews but still am curious to learn more. Anyone have any experience or know of anyone who uses this? It mimicks the movement of a swimming fish... and I never heard of a fish complain of any aches or pains. LOL Thanks guys!

These claims most closely describe cranio sacral therapy. Some physical therapists are trained in it. It is the most subtle AN powerful bodywork you will find. I'm afraid no machine can substitute for the human touch.

I had never heard of it. Checked out the you tube videos & it looks amazing. I could see that being very relaxing & soothing for the muscles. Don't know about the cost though looks a little pricey. Let us know what you decide.

I've had it done over 20 years. Since my first attack. I just had it done recently. I slept thru the night for the first time in over a year.
It is sad something so safe is so inaccessible due to cost.

This is not for me! I researched it and like Tregor, which is a shaking movement in Massage Therapy, it makes my nerves flare up! I am sur it might work for others but not for me! Thanks for posting!

Ok I got the Chi Machine today....and guess what???? I LOVE IT!!! Passive exercise was something my body could handle. Wooohoooo I finally found something that helps me to feel energized naturally. I only used it for two minutes and I could feel a rush of adrenaline and wow-I seriously havent felt this POSITIVE about anything since I was DX with this evil called MS. I'm going to have to say this has to be considered a VERY good day for me indeed. However, it was a bit of cash to even buy a gently used one-but if one brief session can have this effect-I can only imagine how wonderfull it will make me feel down the road. For me personally, I feel better than having had a physical therapy session. Well, I think that a Positive experience for once in my life is so well deserved and needed. Positive Chi to everyone!!

I'm looking into this 'chi machine'. My problem is that I can not get down to or --- especially-- back up from the floor.
Can it be used on the bed?

They say you can us it laying down on or even sitting up on a chair. However it is more effective if you are laying on a flat firm surface such as the floor. If sitting up in a chair your knees need to be at a 90 degree angle, and you put your feet on it instead of your ankles. Check out the YouTube Videos with a Chi Machine search.I had to do some major investigating before will ti spend any money on anything that made claims like this does. You decide for yourself, just as I did. I wish you luck!

After doing all my reasearch I ended up buying a Sun Ancon (Sun Harmony).I ended up buying a gently used one and saved about $150.Be very careful what brand you buy, as some cheaper brands can save you money but are less eeffective and cause pain. I've started my second day with just as positive results today. .

I have a chi machine. Used to use it awhile back and can't remember if it helped. Letting my mom-law borrow it. I should get it back and give it another try. Can't remember brand of it but it was expensive. So I will get it back if she's not using it and report back.

I sure hope you are able to have success with it too mteverest. "Normal" exercise for me just is too taxing and wears me out before I get any benefit from it. With this I lay quietly and let the machine do all the hard work for me-but get all the positive results. Please let us know how it goes for you if you decided to try this Chi Machine. Not the same thing works for us all to provide positive results. But, my hope is that we are all able to find our own relief to a few of these horrid MS symptoms.
