I was on my way home from vacation. There was an a on the radio, about a lady that was a dancer. Then ms hit and in a short time she was in a wheel chair. She got chemo treatments for her ms, She is no longer in a wheel chair and is able to dance again.
Has anyone heard of this or the treatment?

I have had 2 chemo infusions in June my chemo is rutaxin I believe.Personally I am not feeling much difference at all yet.Actually I havent felt to good all summer but hanging in there.Hope you are doing well.

I am in a clinical trial with Copaxone and Rituxamb . It could be placebo or the real chemo drug . I get Copaxone for sure though. I have had a flare up last week, but it didn't last as long, and I am almost at baseline. That is promising!

MS can be relapsing remitting. Which means you could be blind, in a hospital bed, in bed and can't move one day and the 100% better the next.

In 1982, I thought I was going blind and I got my eyesight back 100% and never had another relapse for 16 years. So that is the way with MS. It may have nothing to do with the chemo. That could be just the drug of the day for the doctor and the MS was going away anyway. Believe me, I know people with MS who are on different types of chemo and they still have MS symptoms. They just don't have relapsing remitting MS and their MS stays.

So everyone is different. I know a couple of people with cancer. I asked my doctor if someone with MS has cancer, should they stop their interferon when they are on chemo? And he said no because they actually may feel better on chemo.

I briefly, for a couple months, was taking an oral for of chemo. I wouldn't eat because everything tasted metallic. I lost over 30 pounds in a short amount of time.
I have never heatd the story of the dancer. If it worked that well, i am very happy for her.
