I have neck stiffness a lot and some pain sometimes. I don't know it it is ms related, but since I have only had this pain and stiffness during the attack I am having now of ms, I assume it is the cause.

My neurologist didn't know it it was because of ms however.

I do have alot of neck problems also...But haven't been told I have MS yet...But I know what your going through..

I haven't been DX yet, but my neck issues were the originally reason I saw a neurologist. Cracking, neck pain and tightness that was awful. Then it moved down between my shoulder blades sometimes like it would be painful when I breathed in deep. This may have been the onset of my first attack if that's what it was.....but since I haven't been diagnosed, I can't be sure.

I did have the same neck pain come from out of the blue in the middle of the night 2 nights ago after pretty much going away and the symptoms changing to target my extremities, but then it was gone by morning. Weird stuff that's for sure. I feel ya anyway. And I know my neuro wanted to test for MS just based on my neck complaints and headache complaints and my age and gender, before all of the other symptoms came on, so there must be something there....

I too have had numerous neck issues. Before being DX/D with MS, the neurologist I was seeing then said my neck popping was due to Migraines,(had them since puberty) . Now since being DX'D w/MS neck issues have gotten much more painful,ie/ pain that hinders me moving it at all,pain that would take your breath away, Sometimes travels to my shoulder blades. So your not alone, seems like the old expression of "something is a pain in the neck" really is true. God Bless, Marny
