the latter for sure, sucks doesn't it? I always say half of those kind are a disease waiting to happen - sheerly by their inability to think about anything but themself.

There's so many problems in the world begging for a dollar that most ppl become callouse to thy cries. Then they find out the director of the RED CROSS makes $700,000 a year and yup, don't care. if it aint broke don't fix it and here we are

I just think our culture puts such an emphasis on being happy that nobody knows how to deal with difficulty or adversity. We are all supposed to be young, beautiful and rich. When people have problems or disabilities, nobody knows what to say or how to say it. So they ignore it.

Sooner or later, everybody "pays their dues", it's only a matter of time.

I think that it takes difficult things happening to appreciate life and have any FLAVOR to your personality. I am filled with flavor! :-) Seriously, though, I think some people with MS or other, worse diseases, can feel sorry for themselves, too, but those of us who feel miserable feeling miserable, can't do that. I don't feel like I am so brave or whatever--it's just the way I'm built.
