I explained the clinic I went to had a very high turnover of doc's and at this time I would be seeing someone who would soon move to the area, but all my paast neuro's had left. So did I have to see this new doc, once to get a referal?
They said I could just get my records sent and then call back.
In a waek, my records had been sent. The nurse I talked too sounded very respectful. She asked if I had MS & of course I could make an appointment with the doc I had requested or I could see the nuero who was on call today.
I wanted to see someone I had already seen, so I declined the neuro on call and said I could wait however long to see her.
The nurse looked at my records & saw the doc I requested notes, and said that I only saw her a couple of times...well yeah right!
That was why I was leaving the clinic. I only saw any doc maybe once or twice, but at least it would be a 3rd time if I saw her, now!
So she got me in, in about a month. She's young(the neuro), I hope this is the last doc I have!!!
Perhaps you can have your records sent for review? I have a diagnosis, so it was easier for me, it was still tough though.
