Yes I take Ativan.

I have taken if before MRI's (claustrophobic) and spinal taps. I don't like it because it gives me amnesia. I don't know if this is common but that's been my experience. Good luck..I hope it helps! :)

I take it to reduce stress. For me, it works very well. Doctors tend to be hesitant to prescribe it. I don't know why.

The spinal tap, or lumbar puncture is used in conjunction with the MRI to determine the likelihood of MS. The spinal fluid can show the products of the breakdown of myelin and is suggestive of MS.

I take it now along with klonopin instead of the xanax that I used to take. The ativan is suppose to be helping me for the past year with anxiety.

I take it because its great for the hug. it relaxes the smooth muscle that lays between the ribs. It really helps with anxiety as well. I bump up to klonopin during flares, but stick to ativan as a normal course.
