I did take Airborne when I was having a horrible cold (it's been hanging on for about 4 months...the worst of it was about a month & a half, where I had to sleep sitting up for over a week so I didn't choke from the phlegm running down my throat & get that horrible burning in my throat if I laid down & the phlegm pooled in my chest. I would cough so much I would puke..."fun" times!) Now it's just this constant need to blow my nose & cough & not choke on food, water & air. Another weird thing is that one month I can blow snot out of both nostrils & then the next month I can only blow snot out of one nostril & it goes back & forth like that, every other month. now that's a weird cold symptom I've never had with any other cold before this one...
So my friend...I say all the above to let you know that you are not alone & I will pray that you don't get a really nasty cold that hangs on forever & hurts really bad, cause it is NOT fun.
Take care,
Stay sane!
I found that, that helped sooth my throat somewhat & lemon tea or mint tea was the best. Also, if you drink water, put some lemon in the water & that does the trick as well.
I found for my incessant coughing that "Cough Drops" were NOT good personally & only made me cough 10 times worse. I think it had to do with the issue I was having with choking on anything dripping down my throat at that time when the cold was at it's worst as well.
