When I had a few drinks on two separate occasions, I had bad dizzy spells for days.

I also wanted to tell you that when things are really bad I had my tongue vibrate like feeling, usually when I am over tired. It really freaks me out.

I have muscle tension on the neck but mark that up to work.

I do not have a dx of anything yet but thought it was interesting. Feel better , Beth

i take cymbalta for pain in my neck...and everywhere else...it even helps with the other kind...wink!

i sometimes have difficulty swallowing water. i don't notice it with foods. it is very scary sometimes!

I really have a hard time with liquids things don't seem to shut down....I get cramps in my throat and tongue too. I have TMJ big time and my jaw will get out of line and then the craps start. I am on cymbalta also and lyrica...I have no clue how bad it would be with out them.

i had tmj most of my life...it subsided when i had alot of dental work. had to replace alot of cracked teeth from clenching and grinding!
unfortunatly, it's rearing its ugly head again.

and my daughter is starting with it..ughhh...!

I have a lot of pain in my neck, very sore muscular pain almost every day along with headaches and eye pain that comes and goes. I have not been back to the nuero yet to discuss, but i know how you feel. have not noticed anything with tongue other than al ot of dryness.

YES I HAVE HAD PAIN IN THE LEFT SIDE OF MY NECK FOR 10 YEARS AND TINGELING IN MY EAR MY NERO SAID IT IS FROM MY MS TITE MUSSEL.

Yes my neck gets tight and has a lot of pain.I dont always have it but It is a real pain in the neck well my neck is.

If you are having problems with your tongue please call your doctor. I do get the muscles in my neck seizing up at times. I have had umbness in the back of my throat as well. Anything to do with the mouth call your doctor.

I don't drink, but I have had intense pain in my neck muscles. I was told that i have a lesion on my #5 nerve that comes off my neck. I'd been misdiagnoised for years and have had multiple shot in my neck to try and "loosen" those tight muscles. I was also mis-dx when I was told my headaches were from tmj, that my eustation was clogged, etc. All this on the right side of my face - where the #5 spreads out like fingers on a hand. My tongue tingles all the time. It is worse in the late afternoon after a full day of work. I think it actually goes numb not just tingle! Last week my right eyelid twitched for 3 days. I was dx with MS in March of this year - 2008. I'm still amazed at the the "quirks" that I have from my MS :) I feel like I lost the entire Summer because I couldn't handle the heat outside. Since it is starting to cool off in the evenings, I actually don't go to bed when i get home from work @ 4pm!! Sorry, back to your posting - when I'm stressed, tired, and the tingling is going on - I have the hardes time saying a complete sentence without hesitating or trying to come up with a word. This is really weird since I'm an A type personality that talks so much, my husband breathes for me! lol. Please let me know what your Dr says about your symptoms since they are so similar to my own. Oh - there is a muscle relaxer - brand name Flexeril - that has come out with a once a day - 24 hour capsule named Amrix. Since it is a 24 hr sustained released med, you can take it and still function. This med is suppose to help with the tightening of the muscles in my neck. You may want to inquire about it. Thanks so much for all your comments. It's an amazing support. I'll consider doctor - Kat1969 and Karen EH - if it keeps coming and going but appreciate your concern. Here in the UK we don't get medication of kind routinely in the relapsing remitting stage, when we're not getting too many relapses so I only go to the neurologist if it's major. The smaller things come and go and it helps so much to have found this site when they come suddenly.
