dawizz - sorry I haven't seen your post here. Magnesium malate is the best thing you can take for muscle spasm. I've been using it for about 15 years now. Have you tried any CBD oil? There are so many supplements that help with a variety of things. Please get yourself some Magnesium Malate and either take the time released, or just take it 2-3 times daily. Most of the populations is deficient in magnesium and it orchestrates over 300 metabolic reactions in our bodies, so you can imagine what chaos ensues when one is deficient. Yes, I was taking magnesium for a long time. It is very hard on my stomach due to the intestinal surgeries I have had due to the use of large doses of ibuprofen that were RX'd to me.

I managed to get Sativex for this problem. It was very expensive and was not helpful.

I have not tried CBD oil specifically but I do not find that marijuana and its various forms/extracts do a whole lot for the spasms and severe chronic pain I suffer from unfortunately.

My mother is in same boat as you. With valium doctors trying so hard to stop prescribing it, as its only thing that works for spasms in her case. She on opioids as well for the chronic back pain again doctors tryin to cut it out. I agree with you that doctors dont care.
we tried the cbd oils and other marijuana stuff that did nothing. I did find ionic magnesium which if takin in two doses helps but puts her to sleep, still find valium to work the best though, which is why i fight tooth and nail to keep her on it, as the doctor hasent found her stiff and in major pain first thing in morning or having to call ambulance, those are times doctors cut her off. Then get it again. But her new doctor is waste of skin trying to cut her off again.
So really just want to say is i agree with you, and your not the only one going threw this

Yes, this is indeed a sickening situation. It angers me, I won't lie about that.

Now they are giving me gabapentin (aka Neurontin) for muscle spasms. WTH? It made me extremely sick when I tried it years ago. Now I have a case of somewhat chronic diarrhea from the lowest does that they have of it which is 100 mg. 3X a day.

As for the medical MJ, the CBD oil, etc. they are a sad joke for me. I suppose they help some people out there but they do little if anything at all for the spasms and severe pain I am weary of living with.

The headaches I am getting from Valium withdrawal are frightening but ... they don't care.

The War on Drugs is their stupid priority, not the patient (who is last).
