Do you feel what you are doing?
My bladder issues at the time, he said was that internal valve not opening and my bladder overflowing. He said no amount of kegel excersize would help. He had me wear a foley catheter for a while and then taught me how to self cath myself...well his nurse taught me how to do that for myself.
I'm not saying kagel excersizes will not work in MS, because this is an RR disease. I'm not having the issues with bladder control I had 5 years ago & to tell you the truth I have no need for kegel excersizes either now.
If the contence issue is with regard to that 2nd valve, I bet kagel excersizes do help a lot. If it is because of that first valve at the base of the bladder, I don't think it helps.
Probably why some people say kagel excersizes help contimence issues alot & others say it doesn't really do much for them.
I hope you find out if it helps you & you don't get frustrated if it doesn't. Because there are reasons for both.
I have still gotten a little incontinence during MS attack, but is a firm believer that it is time well spent strengthening these muscles as much as one can.
Best of luck.
Used to suffer from incontinence & began taking LDN about 5yrs ago. It has made my bladder about 95% normal! It is a wonderfull
thing. This is the only drug that I take now for MS & the cost is below $20.00/month.
I have been writing about what I do for my RRMS now as a fall/winter project. In remission for almost a decade now, with some symptom improvements. Details may be seen by going to google.com & checking www.MSalternativefix.com
going to get a doppler ultrasound next Monday!!!
