I take it twice daily and have seen a dramatic change since I've been on it. Get me through my 8 hrs at work cause w/o it I would be under my desk.

I started on it-took it for years. It is much cheaper than provigil. I only stopped taking it becus I stopped taking drugs that can lower your blood pressure. But I would recommend it. Now I know that Omega 3 fish oil supplements lower my bp as well and my bp is around 100/68 on fish oil and 117/70 w/out fish oil. But I think this supplement helps my MS. So I would recommend amandine otherwise. Amandine was used for fatigue in the old days. It can lower bp (according to my pharmist).

My daughter does, it works pretty well but after a while stops and then occasional use works just as good.

I take it occassionally and it really works for me. I've tried provigil and fall asleep on it.

I take it. It does help. Also my neuro told me to exercise. That will help fatigue too.

One other plus about Amantadine: it helps against viruses. It is an antiviral drug, I have been told.

I took it for 1 year then it stopped working for me. Then used Providual for awhile. I am now taking Ritalin ( off label) and it works great.

I am on my 2nd day of 200 mg and when I lay down to go to bed, my legs are anxious and cant sleep

sounds like the dosage is set to high for you. Try cutting your pill in half, so that you only take 100 mg. for a week or two, then go back to 200 mg. Hopefully you won't have that problem.

I have taken Amantadine for 4 years now a d feel that it has helped with fatigue. No negative side effects for me.

When I would take two doses of this, I took one pill in the morning (like 7am, and the other dose around noon. That way, it will definitely have worn off by evening. lchoppel had a good idea too, to lower your dose. You'll get it figured out! :)

I take Provigil for fatigue. I tried Amantadine but it didn't work for me. My doc says it's usually the other way around - that Amantadine is stronger??

called doc today because dizzy,sweating, emotional, and anxious legs. nurse practitioner said stop taking over the weekend and see if symptoms go away. I always have reactions to medicine.
