Abilify for Depression

I have been taking celexa 60mg. for depression for over a year now. It doesn't help alot but my doctor put me on a low dose of abilify and its made a huge difference. My depression is nearly gone. I haven't felt this good mentally in 2 years. I know there's a commercial about about 70% of peoplle with depression still have sympmtoms so abiligy is added . Its a good combination if anybody interested, just thought i'd share. ANything to help us all feel better. :)

I take it and it is AWESOME! I have suffered from depression my entire life, and have been on numerous meds, and this is the first one that has helped me feel normal.

Now, I also take Cymbalta, but that one alone wasn;t cutting it. I take 5mg's now and again, it's been wonderul, as I finally feel normal!

I have been lucky enough to not feel depressed but I admit that I have taken St John's Wort which is used for mild depression yet I take it b/c it also helps with pain!! I heard from a neighbor that most anti-depressants help with pain & I had St John's Wort here in the house (for hubby) so I thought I would try it. I think it DID help a bit with my pain but I do not take it daily, I should but I forget about it. I take SO many drugs now(mainly for my heart) that I forget to take that.

Very glad they have help for those of you who need it and very glad that I have the help I do for everything !! Keep feeling better!

SJW is one not recommended for PwMS if I recall correctly. Gotta look at spreadsheet! Just thought I'd mention,,,

No problem, just hope I am correct, so please look into in case I am confusing with something else. Don;t THINK I am, but uh, I have MS! LOL

LOL yeppers Jen........ I use that one alot too !! LOL - I also just heard another great one... I am only 55 so I prob dont have altzheimers (spl?) but I Do have 'half-heimers'...hahahaha...loved it !! and I am using it !!
