I am so tired of keeping the pease. MY son's first wife was family orinted to both sides of the family her's and ours. She had her faults like we all do.She left our son so she could find herself. That seems to be in style now. She also left the kids with him I guess thinking no one would want him if he had the kids. Boy was she wrong. Some --itch saw him and knew a good man when she saw him.Our problem with her is that no one matters to her besides her family.My husband is about to tell my son we have had enough and if he continues to allow that so be it. We have only one child and it is our son. I am afraid he will side with her. He has no choice. She takes care of the kids. I am tired of haveing my husband hurt. her family gets to see our grand chidren more than us. Forgive me for rambleing on but I had to get it off my chest.

I understand! My situation is different but the same! My daughter moved to Wisconsin where his family lives and I se the kids maybe once a year! I keep telling myself that the Bible says that one will leave their family and cleave unto another. But it also says Honor thy Mother and Father. I am confused. I try to be supportive but feel so pushed aside.

You are in a difficult situation for sure. It would be very hard to know that they are seeing more of the kids than you are.

I am not a grandparent but would suggest maybe "quality not qantity" in that maybe you could ask to have the kids for a weekend a month.day a month or similar so that you can have "special time" with them. It is about the kids & having a relationship with them.

I have one "god daughter" & her younger sister's godparents fell off the radar when they moved so I am now "god mum" to both though not stood up or anything but they both know that we are there for them. Don't get to see them very often as I am not allowed to drive so it is difficult. I keep in contact by phone & email & the girls will email me when something special happens.
