I wish you the best!!
But like you, I don't really feel depressed. Yes, I do get down sometimes, but not to the point that I feel I need medication to keep me up.
I know several people that seem almost proud when their doctors put them on a new medicine.... but I'm not a big fan of filling our bodies with medications we may or may not need, but can handle without, so that probably plays a part in my decision not to pursue medication for the occasional blues.....
be it chemical, emotional or physical support...
i do not like that i found it "easy" to be given mood meds
but they want to take away my sleep aid cuz it can be addictive!
addictive? well so is sleep!
this life comes with a big dose of depressed. at times we need to
cry good and hard then breath easy.. other times needing chemical aide is necessary ... no shame in it ...
what i do not like is a pill i must take daily for a condition that effects me a few days a month.. sometimes alot more but thats a good average.. and when i do not take it the come off it period is worse than the reason i took the drug in the first place..
i finally have Diazepam thanks to my Neuro.. take as needed not a take every day mess with my mind chemistry i hate theses drugs!! kind of reaction...
lol ...
had some bad effects from the ones tried so i get a tad venty on this issue
~big hugs~
^_^
Maybe there are various levels of depression I am not aware of.
Who knows!
