I've been on Tecfidera for about 6 months now. I never experienced any stomach ailments from the drug. I did notice right away flushing side effects. This is where I get really hot, hot from the inside out. This side affect has almost subsided. I also noticed that my face got really oily. This also happened right away. It too has settled down now. I think any side affects you are going to have you will notice them right away. I don't think it is something that builds upon itself.

Good luck when you graduate to the higher dose. I hope you don't have any bad or intolerable side affects.

I did not experience any side effects. In fact, it was a month later did I discover from here the crummy side effects that some people experienced.

So I was so fortunate that so much passed me by. And hopefully you too will bypass all of it.

I have been on since May & Haven't had side effects except OCCASIONAL heart burn.

I've been on it since the beginning of Sept. I've only ever noticed the flushing. It happens a couple times daily but I just take a couple ibuprofen and it helps tremendously! Good luck!

I started it mid-August. I experienced flushing for about an hour right after after I took the first 120 mg dose, and again when I started the 240 mg dose. No stomach upset, flushing twice, that's it.

BUT I WENT OFF IT! At the end of two weeks my walking was slightly worse, and my brain had turned to total mush so much that others noticed it, too. Neither of those are listed as side effects, but I went back on Betaseron around Labor Day and am finally back to normal.

Tecfidera is not for everyone.

Do you get the incredible tired feeling the day of taking the pill? Do you take the pill daily?

I am considering changing when I go see my neuro doc in 2 weeks. I am so tired of taking Rebif and the draggy feeling I get the next day. That is why I took a Rebif vacation. I started back because I could feel a little worse not taking anything and got worried. But the shot really me like a ton of bricks when i have a busy day the same day. So I am wondering, do you feel tired at all when you take it?

I don't feel any side effects so far. It's 2 pills daily and I failed on copaxone and betaseron. Betaseron was the worst, I got bruises from the shots and felt like I had the flu every other day. I have a 2 year old, so that wasn't working for me...

The Tecfidera so far is great! I was scared I was going to have stomach issues, but so far nothing. I am very excited that I don't have to do injections any more and no side effects.

Did anybody notice a difference after switching to the full dose from the starter dose???

Oh, and they do help with the copay. Mine is only $10 a month. Very reasonable!
