I know there are all kinds of copaxone users on here who'll probably respond right away. I'm on a different medication, but you're exactly where I was at 2 months ago (a case of ON and then an MS diagnosis) all of a sudden. One site that's probably really good for you to browse for copaxone posts is www.msworld.org. They have all kinds of posts on copaxone that you can browse through etc. You sound like you're doing really well, all things considered.

Yea well I put it in God's hands. I have had the slight numbness, no taste in my mouth, and weakness in my legs before. I just didn't think of seeing anyone until the vision part. My symptoms are not bad (thank the Lord). How do you manage? Do you still work?

Like I said I'm very new to this. I've only had two episodes (a dizzy spell and ON) and was diagnosed this October by my neuro. I've only had the two episodes and my neuro has told me that this was caught very early on. I just have fatigue around mid-day and even that's gotten a lot better since starting my meds (Gilenya). I'm still in law school. I clerk at a small law firm.

Hi, and welcome to the group, I'm sorry you have to be here, but this is a great place to be for those of us with MS.

I did start off on Copaxone. It was my first therapy with MS. Unfortunately, I developed hives about 9 shots in, and had to stop it. Since then, I have been on Advonex and now am on Tysabri. I love that I have no side affects from Tysabri, but it is a scary drug, and doctors never hardly offer this to patients as a first line of defense.

Thanks so much for the support! This site is very helpful in more ways than one. I need some support. I try blocking it out 75% of the time but when I feel bad it's hard. I will keep you all posted. Hopefully, it stays this way and gets better! :-)

I've been on copaxone, it didn't work for me, but it does work well for many people. I preferred copax to the other shots because it didn't make me sick to take.

Some important things to remember about copax and all of the other MS meds are that they have support programs. So if you ever have problems with your injections, you can call a nurse anytime or if you have problems with the price they have people to help you with that too.

Remember that even though it's a annoying to take a daily shot you are helping to prevent further damage and taking some control over your MS.

I'm sorry to welcome you to the MS club. Anyway, I was diagnosed a little over a year ago and have been on copaxone ever since. The shots kind of suck but you get used to them.

There are a few other things I do and a couple of drugs that I take when needed but so far I am doing ok. I'm learning to take things one step at a time. I still work full time and I got married a year ago. MS has made things harder for me but I still manage to do a lot. I just got back from a two week-vacation in France and my husband and I are trying to get pregnant this year.

I think the mental impact of having MS has hit me harder than anything else. The best thing you can do is gather your support system, get healthy and stay that way and educate yourself about the disease.
