It has been a ruff couple of weeks. I have DDD (degenerative disc disease) As well as MS it is sometimes hard to know what is causing what.
lately I am getting symptoms of the DDD in my neck.
Pain in neck hard to hold my head up. Headache in the area of L temple & L eye. i also feel like vomiting. I do not know what to do. i have been told that I am not a candidate for surgery b/c of the MS so I have to suffer. Although people are often worse off after surgery then before.
I am starting to think what else can go wrong.
I am getting allot of numbness in my legs & body it is getting hard to move now the doc are thinking that it is not the MS but severely pinched nerves for the DDD
I do not know what to do for the pain & other symptoms
the physio & OT want me to ware a soft collar & am afraid it will make my neck weak.

also if anyone else suffers from DDD what do you do for these kinds of symptoms

Hi, I also have DDD, and I have a buldging disc in my lumbar and thoracic spine. The only thing I take is 5mg vicodin 4 time per day and I start PT on Friday. I also am scheduled to get a MRI of my neck, its been killing me, also 4 lesions on the brain with MS symptoms...oh and going through Menopause. It sucks bad! I know how you are feeling and I wish I can be more of a help. I hope you get some relief soon. (((hugs)))

Hey I am no doc but with the headaches where they are and feeling like vomiting-could you be having migraines???

Hi

Good to see you around. I would wear the collar and see if your symptoms improve somewhat, nothing to loose.

I live nauseous, still trying to figure it out. My daughter also gets nauseous sporadically.

Try the collar and let us know how it goes, try to enjoy the beauty of fall, soon the winter will keep us indoors.
