I told my daughter today I don't need it, I have top doctors in their fields of medicine telling me I have MS. I know I have it and what will a diagnosis in writting do for me???? I was so sick last week with dizziness, balance issues, unbelieveable pain in my face and eye that my eyelid kept twitiching so hard from it, double vision and the worst low back spasms I've ever had, pain in my tush that shot down my leg. my left foot drug on the floor and for two of the seven days I was so sick I couldn't put any weight on my leg at all it hurt so bad.
I called my MS neuro who never got back with me til yesterday, and by then it was all over with. At least I thought until today when I discovered I am totally numb everywhere I had the sharp pains at...face, eyelid, butt, peri area, leg and half way up my back.
I'm done with my MS doc no more of his "lets wait and see crap", I"m calling my other neuro tomorrow and telling her the run-a-round I"m getting and still no help with meds from him. She told me to get another opinion because she knows it's MS, and damn I wish I would have listened to her two weeks ago.
Now I wonder if this numbness is permanent damage done to me again like before or if I pray hard enough if it will just be temporary.
I just want to give up, I was so scared when my MS docs nurse told me I"d have to have IV steroids because she thought I was having a major flare and I"m so scared of those, but Hell, the MS specialist acted like what was happening was no big deal to him. Well I went to "My Chart" tonight and canceled my next apt with him and I"m looking for a new MS Specialist if you all think I need one. If a regular neurologist can diagnose me then I won't look any further for a specialist.
SOOOOOOOOOO sorry for the rant I'm just so sick of this but feel so much "AT THEIR MERCY' because I need my legs and life back.
Ok, that felt good, now I'll shut up.

I'm so sorry you are getting the run around, it is bad enough to have to deal with physical issues and then have deal the MS neurologist...
I was diagnosed by a regular neurologist, my first appointment with him, he did his office evaluation, ordered some blood work and ordered MRI's. It took about two weeks to get the MRI's done, his nurse called me the very next morning after the MRI's and to say the neurologist wanted me to come in right away. When I arrived he broke the news to me. He strongly suggested I start a 5 day regiment of steroids, which I agreed, that was on a Friday, so the following Monday I started. By the end of the week I was feeling so much better as I was in the middle of a flair up.
The steroid affects people in different ways, side affects wise, I went in with the mind set of expecting the worst but hoping for the best. I had very few side affects, others have more, keep a positive attitude, you will be in my thoughts.

Just can't take anymore, but I am calmer today, thank God, LOL
Hugs to all
I know the real answer, but they don't seem to.
