I suffer in the heat, but not that bad. I feel for you, I would s*** myself if my eye sight went!

Yes, I have a terrible time with the heat! I just stay in the A/C as much as possible. I do errands first thing in the AM, as I do not have A/C in my car.

I think it is a common MS problem. I get very weak, and bitchy, and my eyesight blurrs or doubles.

Gads it is so unbearable at times... And my right eye does the little double vision or twitching or something.... sorry that's it's happening to you..I swear my eye's have their own music they are dancing too!

Oh yeah, I get affected by the heat. It can be a hot day, or a hot and humid day. My muscles turn to mush, that is...muscles get weak, you know like I've been sitting in a sauna for about an hour. The body goes lifeless, limp. And sometimes, ....now more often than not...but not always...I get a fire sensation going on in my arms and/or legs. Sometimes it is arms only, sometimes it is legs only, sometimes it is both. I can pass out/faint easily in the heat. I also sometimes get blurred or double vision in the heat...the shades of gray thing. What to do? So far I have learned for myself, to take ice packs with me, like if I'm sitting in the car or something. I'll literally sit on ice packs or tuck them in and around my legs or something. I do know companies make vests, but I havent personally tried one. Dont know if I have helped or not but I certainly can relate. Thanks for posting and good luck with the heat! check out with the MS society someone had mentioned that they have bandanas or some such thing...also they could possibly recommend where to buy the cooling vests and if they can help you to purchase one..

I hate the heat too! Why doesn't my family understand that I can't sit outside at a family bbq all day in 90* heat with 100% humidity??? I get tired of explaining to them why I can't see.duh?? Then I love when they hand me the camera. Again duh??? Give the blind woman the camera and expect it to come out ok! (sorry I guess the heat made me crabby today too!)
If I am out too long I try cold showers or have even resorted to opening the freezer door and sticking my head in for a few minutes. Of course the kids think I am crazy but nothing new there.

i do i cant breath. im awful tired a lot more so in the heat, and my balance is way off. like today was only in the 80's here it was still too hard to manage. well looks like more heat tomorrow and the next day so i dont know what to do but keep filling up on liquids. thank you all for allowing me to share my 2 cents in.
