I personally am ready to accept the consequences, however, the things I post t end to be things most ppl already know anyhow. This isnt a saving grace to the situation, but I do realize that anything that may result is of my own fault.
I just fly by the rule that if you dont want it to be known, then dont post it. It really is that simple.
I have tried googling mine and unless you use tarabunnyears, you don't get anything. But I don't use my full name. Luckily, I am in a situation where it does not matter to me as a stay at home mom. I am able to be open about my MS.
Thanks it was my myspace and I was able to fix it for some reason it had my full profile available pictures all my post and friends post to my personal blog postings . I had it set to private in the new trend setting ? I also had found more stuff and groups I had joined fixed some of them but it went right to it using this alas . Thanks again I'm not sure why I was upset about people seeing my post on here I have not told all my friends yet that I have joined yet . My all of my friends are very understanding and supporting but I do get tired explaining my self to people and I would rather vent on here and try to save the other time with my friends I feel sometimes like I am being Debbie downer or something and the DS member's I know can relate more and help me vent . I thought you had to be a member for it to show up . Thanks for your comments
Another check is to run your name through "pipl.com". It's a composite of references anywhere: myspace, facebook, web pages, blogs, news articles, criminal records, amazon wish lists, etc. It's pretty good at finding places where other people have written about you and given your personal information, often without your knowledge or consent - like a non-profit newsletter.
The people that take the time to know the real me, know me3 & my illnesses. The others that are bored enough to search out people or weird enough to do so...well, sorry, but they don't know me or I them & they don't understand the real me...So what is it their business anyway & who cares what mindless people think. It's what I have to tell myself each time I step out my door daily.
We NEVER asked or wished to be sick in any way shape or form. Small minded people are fearful & that's basically why they judge. I don't know them. It's not any easy thing, for certain, but I shouldn't care what a stranger thinks if they only want to judge & aren't willing to take the time to understand.
The people who truly know the real me know & the others...what of it? I can't turn off my symptoms like a light switch. I can only be me & accept myself for the things I can only manage as best as possible, not change!
Take care,
Stay sane!
P.S...I'm not going to say anything, pretty much period...that I wouldn't say to someones face if asked. So there you go!
