OK - I've read just about everything I can find about LDN and I am convinced....not that it will necessarily work - but I am convinced that I would definitely like to try it! So, I called my neurologist (who is the medical director at one of the largest centers for multiple sclerosis in New York City) and he will not prescribe it. Actually, I talked to one of his fellows because he was on vacation, but she told me that they do not prescribe LDN for their MS patients. Where do I go from here? I don't understand why I can't try it....what if it works?

My neurologist will not prescribe LDN, nor with my family doctor. There is one place 5 hours from me that might be willing to prescribe it but a 5 hour trek to find out they won't prescribe it doesn't seem worth it to me.

I would still talk to your Neuro when he is back. Explain that you would like to try it regardless of how he feels. My Neuro thought it was a hoax but still agreed to write a script. He made sure my current meds would not cause a conflict.

If your Neuro doesn't want to write it you may want to think of getting a new one. You have to be your own advocate.
