So tell me, its kind of interesting how DID is portrayed in this show, my alters seem to like it just as much as I do so do you like it or is this show not your thing?

have not seen it. When I first was diagnosed, it seemed like everything on TV had DID characters in it. I felt like I was being hunted. Now we kind of laugh about it. I am pretty functional though. At least when I really need to do something I usually can, so it makes laughter a little easier than on bad days.

I like this show....It does leave me feeling unsettled and anxious...idk why.....I think its maybe not completely realistic...like the way her alters introduce themselves.i think most alters try and hide their existence...but hey its tv and in the real world we are all unique anyways in our dissociative experience..

I didn't watch it. I don't have cable, is it on cable? It would probably trigger me if it's too close to realistic. I used to be able to read books on the topic, but now it triggers me too much. Funny thing is, alagorys trigger me more severely than informational books and autobiographys, etc.

oh i see nice to see more views, and its not too triggering for me, i think any and everybody should give it a shot i found the entire first season at my library its pretty short, though they are now working on season two

there are 2 seasons out and they are working on 3.
i kind of liked the show.
but her alters are much more outspoken. only tara herself is not a very eccentric person, her alters all are. we all hide most of the time.

I watched part of an episode so I don't know if all of the shows are like this. It seems lighthearted and unrealistic, but would have to see more episodes to know what I think.

I found it on Hulu.com, but only the pilot. Some of me liked it a lot, and some of me hated it...how typical. :)

I mostly enjoy the show. Its a nice take on DID but I wish "normal" people could understand how real DID is and how frustrating it really is. US of Tara hits on real aspects but I think is mostly seen as a comedy. Still a good show though. :)
