I borrowed some books from the library for our littles, on stayiing safe from bad touches and stuff like that. When they got the idea that they had permission to tell, it was a huge breakthrough for us all.
Permission to tell, and assurance that you will be believed is so important. Even if the details are fuzzy, let them come. Obviously it was not a monster as a child imagines it, but what was done was monsterous and that is the best way a child could make sense of it.
