Well, that was in 2001 just before 9/11. So far, I can run a little bit still, about a block if I have to run to catch the bus or train. So far, I am now on disability, but not without a fierce fight....but, I am afraid, dealing with people like my coworkers, may be here to stay.
The good news is, though....I now have an extremely open-minded and understanding PCP, who is very supportive and helpful. Sometimes, just a few words from him makes me feel a lot better and stronger than several sessions with my therapist!! And more good news is, I've made it this far....and that job on the MED/SURG floor was over 10 years ago now.
My life is different, but I'm still kicking some ass!!!
