I think sometimes when we have a diagnosis we try to look for others who are similar so that we dont feel so alone. While it's all well and good seeing everyone in this community unfortunately its rarer to see other people in real life who have DID so we try to find people who are in the hope that we wont be alone. Wheezie, I also never feel alone. I have a support group of 31 right heare inside me. I actually prefer to be physically alone because then we all just hang together, and hanging has been our greatest healer. I Love my Journey!

Due to severe trauma( mostly), dissociated people...it's as if they have had that manyfaceted crystal of the self smacked with a hammer.
This can result in splitting into fully or somewhat separated subcomponents.
I am still not sure I am multiple, but I started talking to my therapist like a 6 year old this week, and when she read back what I said there was an item I could not remember saying...and I was in a trance state.
