Some things that I have done in the past depend on what's really driving the urge. I have an alter that punishes so if it's her will driving me I find a "healthier" alternative . This is usually something physical like walking, hitting the punching bag, scrubbing the oven, doing something till you're just exhausted. This also works for like pent up nervous, pacing the floor energy. If it's nagging thoughts, or what I call "committee chaos" that loud stfu noise in your head that just won't stop I find a way to change focus. If I'm able to I read. But sometimes I get this glitch where I can't so maybe I'll listen to Audible, a podcast, TED talk, or I'll binge cheezy horror movies But if that's not working I may do a game, puzzle or craft that takes some but fairly minimal concentration so that I don't get frustrated and quit. Something like word searches, mah jong, crosswords, knitting, cross stitch. Or even organizing, I love color coding, labeling, itemizing and other OCD satisfying stuff.
I hope this helps
I also have coloring that I can do when I finish or play video games.
