Noticing different alters in pictures

I've been looking at old pictures of myself lately and since I discovered I have MPD/DID I can actually see the different alters who were taken in the pics. It's pretty cool and my husband who was looking at the pictures with me can also tell the difference.For example my profile pic is me Elizabeth my core personality.Anyone else experience this? I use to look at pictures of myself and be like that doesn't look like me. Now I know why.

I recall that,change in my voice,and handwritting. Recently finding that asking myself were am I, can bring me back to a base line. Good luck in your discovery.

I can kinda see it too, although none of me tends to like being in pictures, so it's kinda hard to tell when they're all unhappy about being in them.

LOL Yes Hope the differences are slight but definately noticeable.It's like with everything else with MPD/DID the changes in voice and mannerisms,facial expressions,posture are marginal at times(depending on which alter is out) but still noticeable.

While I'd hope that anyone would be genuinely smiling in their wedding pictures, that's one of those drastic changes that I totally recognize differences from that and then things like "oh here's another one of us by the statue". It's really evident the more and more I look into pictures, noticing the little details.

I remember the first time that happened with me. I can still pick them all out even though integrated. :)

What is even more shocking for me. As an artist, I was painting and drawing them before ever knowing what they looked like. heh, but there was Rea, Christine, Julie, and a few other core from the 58 and I was blown away.

This gives me an idea.. A DID Scrap book with pictures of my alters. Thank you. Since my self integration in Jan. 2000, I've had nothing of them.

we are not in very many pictures. Maybe we avoided them for this reason. hmmm.

Yes...one really weird thing about it is, I had a therapist tell me once, she could see my face was 50/50. Half had one entire expression, and the other half, another. I thought I knew what she meant, but actually saw it when I got an ID photo made for a courier service company I worked for. It REALLY creeped me out when I realized what my therapist had been talking about. But the person who took the picture didn't say a thing. Makes me wonder, how many people I meet, notice those things and don't say a word about it. Another topic that came up in therapy Thursday!!
