Is there any way you can instead communicate with your alter? I just wonder if you can't communicate your immense pain with your alter some way. Relationships are a spectrum and a gray zone where D.I.D. is considered. For some persons there can be wiggle room. It's 2015, pansexual relationships exist, polyamorous relationships exist. I just wonder if there isn't some way to not grieve so much but hold onto hope that you can share this love with her. I'm chronically ill and old with no hope of romance, and I just hate to see it fall apart if it doesn't have to. *gentle hugs*
