My take on it was to tell the therapist that another therapist mentioned I had DID and that I was intending to work on the trauma, but wanted to let them know about the previous work in case something like that came up. It seemed to put us both in a less stressed position. Of course the DID did show itself and now it is not an issue of doubt, but the poor lady never knows who she is dealing with at a given meeting.
