I'm sorry, I don't really have any sensible advice for you in this. I tend to agree perhaps with ashashappire that it doesn't sound like this therapist is the most appropriate one for you all. If he's only prepared to work with 3 of you, I suspect his understanding of DID is as limited as the option he's intent on inflicting on you. I'm not sure what the ramifications of 'shutting down' are for those of you doing this, but one thing I'm sure of - all of you are valued people who wouldn't be here if at some time you weren't critical to the survival of you all. You all deserve respect and achnowledgement. If you have to go deep or become dormant while this therapist deals with only the three - please never lose sight of how important and special you all are. And you'll all still be this when the current therapist is only memory
